Dr. Okumu has been practicing medicine for over 20 years now and is also an accomplished entrepreneur
Dr. Nicholas Ochieng Okumu is an alumni of Lenana School and thereafter proceeded to The University of Dar es Salaam to pursue medicine. After graduating from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 2004 as a medical doctor, he obtained a Masters degree in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of Nairobi in 2012. Dr Nicholas Okumu also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of South Wales. He is a member of the Kenya Medical Association as well as the Kenya Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Okumu is skilled in all aspects of orthopaedic surgery including joint replacement surgery, arthroscopy, oncology, bone trauma, spine, hip, knee, foot and ankle surgery as well as paediatric orthopaedics. Dr Okumu manages patient conditions associated with arthritis, fractures and sports injuries, helping them return to an active lifestyle.
Dr Okumu is also an honorary lecturer at the University of Nairobi School of medicine as well as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Kenyatta National Hospital. In addition, he is the founder and clinical director of The Bone and Joint Clinic (www.boneandjointclinic.org) and the CEO of Stratus Medical (www.stratusmedical.co.ke).
